Favorite Things Friday

Well, I've been trying to figure out what to write about today.  I love FTF because it makes me focus on things that I like rather than things that bring me down.  For example, my computer crashed tonight and I'm not sure what to do about it, but it's more important to do FTF than deal with the computer (of course, I don't have a car so I can't drive to the mall to try and get it fixed so that might be why I'm not focusing on the computer).

However, my favorite thing today is blue jeans.  They are my favorite piece of clothing.  I would rather wear blue jeans than just about anything else.

The first thing I do when I get home from work is change into my jeans.  I even remember getting my first pair of jeans.  I went with my cousins to a store in College Park, Maryland.  I don't remember the name of the store at this point, but they were selling Levi's.  My first pair were men's -- they must have made women's but I didn't get those for many years.   That was the beginning.  Initially I wouldn't wear anything but Levis .. then a few years ago, I branched out to Lee's.  I've worn Old Navy and now I even have a pair of Lucky Jeans.

Anyway, that's my favorite thing.  Not too exciting, but that's who I am.

Cheers.

You are a girl after my own heart. I own about 30 pairs of jeans including those super fabulous gut sucking in ones. (Im not implying you need those at all - but I certainly do )So if you're not exciting -I feel I'm in good company !

Jeans are so comfy and casual arent they? I even wear mine to work - yes I have the most awesome job EVER!

Loved this FTF post Thea (and I hope you get those computer woes sorted ...it sucks when your computer is being temperamental)

I remember getting my first pair of jeans too, and they were Levis and they were men's. I think that's how they rolled back in the day, just waist and inseam. Those jeans fit the best! Now I can't seem to find the perfect pair anymore. Some come close, but low rise jeans like to want to creep down my bum and I'm always yanking them back up. Anyway, TMI, but I can relate to your FTF post!

I used to love jeans but it's too hot and humid here most of the year to wear them, so my choice is linen pants. I don't mind if they crush and look wrinkled, I love linen, it's so cool and comfortable. I do have a couple of pairs of jeans that i drag out in winter or when I go to colder climates, including a couple of pairs like Shay has, of the gut sucking in variety, I definitely need those these days!

Too funny, I remember way back when that we girls only wore the mens jeans. Too uncool to wear the womens or worse, girls. Levi's or Ditto jeans(though more pants then jeans) where all I wore.

I read a few posts back and saw where you went to Daiso, love that place. Everything but the kitchen sink.

Enjoy your weekend,
jilly

There is no life without jeans as far as I'm concerned. Great FTF. I was too curvey even as a teen to be able to wear Levi's, I'm a big Lee's person.

One of the reasons I love Friday is because I get to wear jeans to work.
