If this is my first finish, and I think it is, I am really slacking on the quilting this year. I made this quilt/wall hanging for my YD's cohort of MPH* students. Each of the students made a block and I put them together. I tied the quilt because I was worried about puckering since it wasn't going to be washed and made all crinkly. I also put a pocket on the back for hanging.
I think it turned out pretty nice. the blocks are all very different.
I have been working up in San Francisco this week assisting with a trial. Sounds a lot more fun and exciting than it is. Mostly I've been in a hotel room making copies and assembling binders into the wee hours of the morning, sleeping and then doing it all over again.
I walked to the bank yesterday. Here's a picture of one of the trolley cars.
I'm a little behind in the bread making (soup making too).
This week, I finally made another bread. One of my favorites focaccia bread -- recipe from here.
olive oil
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
3 1/2 cups flour
1 pkg yeast
basically you mix the dough together and then put it in the pan to rise for an hour, then bake it for 30 minutes. It smelled divine and was really yummy with oil and vinegar.
I think if I make it again, I'll try a different recipe.
