Finish #4

Finally finished Nate's quilt. He's only 3 years, 3 months old.  I'm only late by about 3 years.

It's a lot bigger than I had originally planned, but I'm really happy with it.

Humingbirds

For Christmas last year, my husband gave me a hummingbird feeder.  I finally put it up about a month ago.

Our neighbor has a couple of feeders and dozens of hummingbirds fly around his feeders all the time. Ours was not being visited for ages .. and then recently I heard some noise, and now ...

Every night at dusk, it's a free for all...

Barracuda

So this weekend, we went to Cuda Ridge to pick up our wine shipment,  They were having their vintage wine release and there were vintage cars on display as well. (There are a lot of car pictures below -- no people pics :(.)

 

The winery is named after the Barracuda .. the owner owns the purple Barracuda.

It was beastly hot, but the wine was good and so was the company.

Happy Birthday, MLW II !!

My oldest grandson turned 10 yesterday.  Hard to believe I have a grandson who is that old -- I can remember being 10.  It's crazy.

They live in Arizona so we didn't get to see him/them. But we face timed twice.  Once in the morning and then again later.

For Sale .. on eBay

I've listed a few things on eBay recently .. first some bindings for my son, some transformer dvds, a pair of snowboarding goggles, and finally a Russel Wright serving bowl ...

 

 

The bowl was my grandmother's and it came with some other dishes that my sister sent me a while ago.  They are now my every day dishes, but I don't use this so I thought I would sell it.  There's also a pitcher that I'd like to sell.  If this sells for enough, I'll sell that too.  If it doesn't, then I'll wait and sell both in the fall/closer to Christmas.

I'm actually looking to buy more of the plates on eBay .. wish I could just swap.

Summer Food

Some of the yummy things I made last weekend -- chocolate chip cookies, my favorite to make (I like the dough better than the cookies) -- and they are so very easy.

Then I made some corn salad. I had this first at my cousin's house.  Ghina made this the last time we were over and it was so good, I had to make it.  Whatever we do on the Fourth of July, I'm taking this with us.
