So, without even looking at what my goals were this month, I know I didn't get very far, but here's the list anyway ...
1. Finish baby clothes quilt - not finished -- though it is quilted and ready for binding.
2. Send birthday cards to my sister and CS -- got 50% of this done (missed sending a card to my sister).
3. Delete Angry Birds (target date 5/15) - Done.
4. Sew more / watch less TV - not an easily quantifiable goal. I guess I need to be more specific.
5. Run at least one morning / week - total bust. (To be fair we had a lot of stuff going on and I don't feel guilty at all.)
Now for June:
1. FINISH baby clothes quilt.
2. Sew 4 out of 7 days each week.
3. Walk/exercise 15 minutes each day.
I also want to try and get NS's quilt done. We'll see how that works -- I need to get batting and backing -- though for the backing I may use some that I already have -- and since they live in Arizona I may not want to add batting to keep the quilt thinner and more usable.
Guess that's all I'm going to aim for. If things are looking up by mid-month, I may decide to add more goals.

Memorial Day 2018
After spending Sunday at the races, we went to Livermore to see some WWII planes on display. It wasn't as cool as it was last time, but that might have been the weather (very hot 95 degrees) ...
We went through one of the planes

My attempt at an artsy photo.
Me and my husband in front of the propeller (I really need to practice posing).
A MASH era jeep ...
and a WWII jeep.
After viewing the planes, we went to Cuda Ridge for a wine tasting .. then a late lunch at Sauced. All in all, a very nice day ...

A Day at the Races
So today, after church we went with my YD and SIL to Golden Gate Fields for $1 day. Admission was $1/each and you could get tokens for hotdogs, beer, sodas, and mimosas, all for $1.
It was a beautiful day and a great distraction from the drama of my life ..
Me, sipping my mimosa (actually I think I was just posing for the selfie) .. and my YD ...
and the horses .. we stayed through 7 races, won a little money -- mostly lost, but it was fun!

Happy Birthday, Rachel!
here's a more recent picture of her with our cousin Steve ...
Anyway .. hope she's having a great day!
Broken Legs and Rehab
My father fell and broke his leg over a week ago. Since he was suddenly not able to walk, and we were not able to care for him, we had to have him go to a facility for rehab.
Although I'm sure he's not happy about it, it's definitely where he needs to be -- for both him and us.

April/May Goals - The List Update
First the April wrap-up .. I think my goal achievement for April was almost a total bust. The only thing I actually did was #5, making burp cloths for my grandaughter.
I actually liked all my April goals, but I'm guessing it's either too many things or I just don't care about any of it as much as I thought.
So for May:
1. Finish baby clothes quilt
2. Send birthday cards to my sister and Cooper (henceforth CS)
3. Delete Angry Birds (target date 5/15)
4. Sew more / watch less TV
and for something new this month ...
5. Run at least one morning / week
As for the List, here are a few I'd like to get to work on:
Knit blanket for grandchild #5
Make a dessert souffle
Work on decluttering
Make a new soup
Make a new bread
Go to a minor/major league baseball game (doing that this Sunday!)
Make pillowcases for me
Take a Saturday morning walk
Go the movies with my husband
None of these is/are difficult or wacky, I just need to remember I want to do them (and then actually do them). Wish me luck ...
Oh, I actually made hot cross buns -- that might count as a bread ... of course, that may have been in March.

Newest Grandbaby .. a GIRL!!!
Welcome Eve Olivia .. she was born on March 17 to my OS and his wife. I've been reluctant to post pictures (hence the very long delay). I babysat this past Saturday for the first time. She was great -- I think she ended up staying up too much that night -- I probably ruined her sleep patterns or something. Anyway, it'll be fun to start getting all the little frilly things ..
There's a reason for the delay in getting things which I'll write more about later, when things are resolved.
