I wanted a clever title for this post and was looking for a song with January in the lyrics but couldn't remember any and google wasn't at all helpful. So, no clever title.
This has been an interesting month. We went to California to attend the memorial service/celebration of life for a family friend. The kids have been sick. My YD has been traveling. New President and all that stuff.
It took me a while to "recover" after getting back from California. Not so much jet lag, I don't think, but I have been really tired and unmotivated. Perhaps it's thinking about life and death and being generally melancholy. I think I'm there now. Anyway, on to my January goals:
- Make progress on Grinch quilt - barely .. but I did start the quilting
- Pick out crochet project - done -- except I don't remember which one
- Send out New Year's cards - THIS IS A BUST
- Drink at least 32 oz of water a day - not sure about this, but I'm working on it
- Hit step goal 25 out of 31 days -- I made 18 out of 31. The trip to California messed that up.
But I'm not totally discouraged. Time to make February goals.
- Work on Grinch quilt
- Start Couch to 5K
- Hit step goal 14 days
- move forward on crochet project
- go out to eat at a new place
- take a walk outside (1x week)

January is a hard enough month without deaths in the family and sick kiddos. Hopefully February is brighter. Good luck with your goals.
Jan seemed to on forever! I don’t think I got anything done so you seem to have made good progress. Onward and upward.
