Favorite Things Friday

It's time, once again, to link up with Shay at Quilting in My Pyjamas and share our favorites.  I was going to do a post on zip lock baggies which are a real favorite; but after seeing Shay's post, baggies just didn't cut it.  As a matter of fact, there's not much that I could come up with that would really compare with her favorite.  So, my favorite this week, is pretty fabrics, made into pretty bindings..

or maybe my favorite is fun treats made from recipes found on pinterest ...

I made these candies/snacks and took them to the office on February 14 as a Valentine's Day treat.  They were enjoyed by all, mostly me.  They were super easy to make -- a square pretzel with a Hershey's hug, baked at 200 degrees for 4-5 minutes, then an M&M put on top.  I can use these for St. Patty's day or Christmas, Halloween ...

I usually make those with rolos but hate opening them.

Oooh lovely binding!

As far as I know we don't have Hershey's hugs here, boo hoo.

Finished rolled binding is a site of beauty, but for some reason I really hate what it takes to get it to that stage.

I'd have been you valentine if I was one of your office mates. They look yummy!

The treats look so good, and it may be just that I'm hungry, but your binding reminds me of a big 'ole cinnamon roll! I love a pretty binding too.

I agree with you about binding. I love seeing rolls of it all made up and ready to go on my quilts. It's thrilling!

Those pretzel snacks look interesting. I wonder if I can do something similar here despite not having square pretzels or hersheys hugs...

I love zip lock bags. You should totally do that post.

What "sweet" treats! And I mean that with both meanings for the word.

I love salty mixed with sweet. I vaguely remember pretzel sticks served with ice cream sundaes at a local dairy. Yum.
