My favorite thing this week is Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss would have celebrated his 107th birthday this week. When I was a kid, I loved the Cat in the Hat, the Cat in the Hat Comes Back, and Horton Hears a Who (a persons a person no matter how small ...)
I think I even had a recording of it -- actually the one I had the record of was Horton hatches the egg...
Then when my kids were little, I used to love reading the ABC book. Big A, little a, what begins with A? Aunt Annie's Alligator, A, A, A.
I just love the new Dr. Seuss fabrics. I've got to get me some. They are so fun, so colorful, and so seussy. Don't know what I'll do with them, but I want them.
But mostly now I love the Grinch. Several years ago, maybe when we moved to California, I started getting my kids something grinchy very year for Christmas. The first year was socks. there have been boxers and sleepy pants and t-shirts, pens, books, this year was pencils. I was probably the only one excited about it.
This year might be a little easier with Grinch fabric coming out. I will most definitely have to buy some of that. no matter what.
I can't wait!!
Thanks for coming by. Please go by Mrs. P's blog and check out the rest of the favorite things for this Friday.

Cool fave. Love the Dr Seuss messages. Cool fabric guess you'll be getting the Grinch presents in 2011.
Enjoy
Our first grader had an indoor parade yesterday to celebrate Dr Seuss' birthday.
Of course, the first thing I think of when I see flannel are sheets - is your area too warm for flannel sheets? It would be fun to make your kids a grinch Christmas blanket!
Thanks for sharing -
my favorite book is one I received while I was pregnant, "Oh baby the places you'll go" - to be read to the baby in utero. Some of the books, though, are not written by Dr Seuss - it's been 12 years, so I'm not sure about that one!
Yay for doctor Suess. - I am hoping to go to his sculpture garden in Springfield next week.
Grinch fabric?! How awesome! Loved Dr. Seuss growing up, and then again reading it with my daughter. I've seen some cute quilts made with the Dr. Seuss fabric. It's so colorful and fun. Probably hard to go wrong, whatever you come up with.
Never got into Dr Suess, my son use to love him when he was little. Great childhood memories though great FTF. Catch you next week.
What a great favourite! Grinch fabric? Wouldn't that make great stockings and Christmas decor? Can't wait to see that in the stores. Thanks for sharing. Happy FTF! :o)
How cool is that..I read Dr. Suess to my kids when they were little. Never looked to see if Dr.Suess is avilable in Germany..funny..hmm..great memories..thanks for posting that.
Fox in Sox was Kiddo's favorite. She would challenge me to read at as fast as I could, then laugh hysterically when I stumbled. The Grinch is so cool, I still like to see the cartoon when they show it at Christmas. Great FTF!
Thea I think the ongoing Christmas gift with a Grinch theme is very cute and if you enjoy it -then keep doing it.
I love Dr. Suess, and used to read them to Miss P. Little P will be subjected to the silliness as well. Green Eggs and Ham and Cat in the Hat are imprinted on my brain from mulitple readings. I remeber reading Fox in Socks when I was a kid. I cant believe those books have endured so well. They are truly timeless. Loved your FTF!
