This picture is from the 30s. The tree in the back .. is my favorite tree. The tree in the front is the one on the ground in the picture below. (Okay, not so wordless today).

Jay was there when the little tree blew down, There is a new pine tree growing out of the roots of the old. You can now see the tip of the new tree from the Lake Breeze Lake Room.
Fun comparison. I really like how you have different versions/views of this one tree.
interesting to see both shots and i think that is a beautiful tree too.
worthy of a whole series of photos even . . . different angles, different times of the day, seasons, maybe some macros . . .
